Collaborations

SHBA's collaborations reflect a coherent vision for Armenia. Not a collection of unrelated agreements.

Why These Collaborations

Hospitality is one of the most labor-intensive sectors in any economy. Not everyone can be a software engineer or a mathematician, and Armenia already excels in those fields. What the country needs equally is a world-class service and hospitality industry: one that creates dignified employment, drives tourism revenue, and offers genuine professional pathways for people across all regions and backgrounds. Every collaboration SHBA has built in this sector serves a single goal: elevating Armenian hospitality to international standards.

Energy is the other pillar. Armenia has invested significantly in solar energy, but solar only produces during daylight hours. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are the essential complement: storing the energy generated during the day and making it available around the clock, enabling genuine energy independence and grid stability. SHBA has built its energy collaborations specifically to support this transition.

The two pillars connect: hotels powered by stored renewable energy, reducing operational costs while meeting international sustainability standards, certified through Green Key and staffed by professionals trained to world-class benchmarks. This is the ecosystem SHBA is building in Armenia.

Pillar one

Hospitality Collaborations

Executive Education

EHL — Hospitality Business School

Founded in 1893 in Lausanne, Switzerland, EHL Hospitality Business School is consistently ranked as the world's leading institution for hospitality education and research. As the only hospitality school officially recognised by the Swiss Government, EHL has shaped the global standards of service excellence for over 130 years, with more than 25,000 alumni holding leadership positions across the hospitality industry worldwide.

SHBA collaborates with EHL on Executive Education programmes, referring candidates from Armenia and the region to EHL's portfolio of short courses and leadership programmes among other, bringing Swiss hospitality education standards within reach of Armenian professionals and organisations.

Vocational Education

Swiss-Armenian Academy of Hospitality (SAAH)

SHBA collaborates with the Swiss-Armenian Academy of Hospitality (SAAH), a pioneering institution delivering VET by EHL vocational programmes in Armenia. Our founder has participated in the launch of SAAH since the beginning, strengthening this collaborative relationship. Located in Gyumri and backed by the #1 hospitality school, SAAH is nurturing the next generation of hospitality professionals through hands-on, internationally recognised training.

This collaboration bridges skill-building at all levels, from SAAH's foundational and vocational education to SHBA's executive leadership and service strategy programmes. Together, we offer a full spectrum of hospitality education and services in Armenia, from entry level to executive, building a stronger, more competitive workforce for the country and the region.

Strategic Partnership

Parvanyan Consulting LLC

Parvanyan Consulting LLC is a specialist advisory firm recognised for its expertise in hospitality development, food & beverage concept development, consumer and lifestyle brand development, luxury retail, franchise development, and hospitality operations excellence, such as bringing to Armenia world renowned French Ladurée and Belgian Leonidas chocolates. The firm works with investors, developers, brands and commercial clients across international markets.

SHBA and Parvanyan Consulting entered into a formal Strategic Partnership Agreement in July 2026. The partnership combines Parvanyan's hospitality development and operational expertise with SHBA's corporate advisory, financial restructuring, turnaround, executive education, and international business development capabilities, delivering integrated solutions to clients who need both operational and strategic support.

Pillar two

Energy & Sustainability

Market Entry Advisor for Armenia

LG Energy Solution

LG Energy Solution is one of the world's leading manufacturers of advanced battery storage systems, with a proven track record across utility-scale, commercial, and industrial applications globally. SHBA has been appointed as advisor to LG Energy Solution for market entry in Armenia.

LG Energy Solution is one of the very few global battery manufacturers whose technology meets the strict supply chain compliance requirements of US-aligned and EU-aligned investors and technology infrastructure projects, making it the right partner for Armenia's energy ambitions and for projects requiring international financing or investor confidence.

Exclusive Representative for Armenia & Georgia

Leclanché Advisory

Founded in 1909 in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, Leclanché is one of the world's most experienced battery storage companies with over 115 years in the industry. Having designed, supplied, and commissioned utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems across Europe, North America, and beyond, including the world's first fully electric ferry, Leclanché has accumulated unparalleled technical depth in BESS applications.

Besides e-mobility and specialty battery systems, Leclanché has strategically pivoted one of its business models to concentrate on Leclanché Advisory, a dedicated technical advisory service for BESS projects, operating entirely independently of product sales. Leclanché Advisory provides vendor-neutral guidance across the full project lifecycle: feasibility analysis, system design, procurement support, project management, commissioning supervision, and operations & maintenance. This independence is rare in the industry and delivers genuinely unbiased advice to clients.

SHBA is the exclusive representative of Leclanché Advisory for Armenia and Georgia: bringing this world-class BESS technical advisory capability to a region that is rapidly expanding its renewable energy infrastructure and requires expert guidance to maximise the value of that investment.

Sustainable Hotel Certification

Green Key

Green Key is one of the world's leading eco-labels for the tourism and hospitality sector, recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and awarded to hotels, restaurants, and leisure facilities that meet rigorous standards of environmental responsibility and sustainable operations.

SHBA has established a collaborative partnership with the Green Key representative in Armenia to support the development and promotion of Green Key certification across the country's hospitality sector.

The business case for Green Key certification in Armenia has never been stronger. In today's environment of rising energy costs, hotels that can access stored solar energy, produced during the day and made available around the clock through Battery Energy Storage Systems, reduce their operational costs directly and measurably. Green Key certification provides the internationally recognised framework that validates this sustainability commitment, turning what was once seen as an ESG obligation into a genuine competitive and commercial advantage.

Solar generation. Battery storage. Green Key certification. Three pieces of the same solution; and SHBA brings expertise across all three.
